Being that Insanity is a 60 day program I expected it to be pretty hard core. The first 30 days were tough but I got through it. I pushed hard or as Shaun T says “Dig Deep!” I saw a transformation going on and was getting excited. Then..month 2 hit. WHOA! Now that’s where the results are at! The workouts got longer and hard and let me tell you my body did too!
Is this program for beginners? There’s a fit test at the beginning of the program that you should be able to do but to be honest…I’ve seen people with 100 lbs to lose and still do Insanity. The key is to modify the moves until you can do them, take breaks as often as you need and just FINISH! The important part is that you’re moving and sweating. Make sure to use the calorie calculator! Don’t over eat OR under eat! You need your energy for these workouts. The program comes with a meal plan to help you out and will tell you exactly how many calories a day to eat. If you need help calculating please let me know. I can help!
Injuries? Insanity is full of plyometric exercises which means a lot of jumping. Bad knees? Maybe not the best program for you. I could recommend some other more appropriate programs. But like I said above. Anything can be modified. The key is that you’re moving and sweating.
RATING: 5 stars! I was silly and didn’t take any before after photos when I did this program. I was doing it to get on shape before the hubby got home from Afghanistan. But I will tell you…he was VERY pleased with my results
I didn’t lose a lot of weight but that wasn’t my goal. I was working to tone. My legs looked as good as they did when I was a gymnast in H.S.
Hey…try it out and if you don’t like it…send it back within 30 days for a full refund! But if you stick with this program it will become GOLD in your fitness library!!!
